Kentucky Wildcat News: Manhattan Gameday and First CFP Rankings
A big day for Kentucky!
Good morning, BBN!It is a big day for the Kentucky Wildcats as the regular season for Mark Pope and the Cats tips off inside Rupp Arena as they welcome the Manhattan Jaspers to town. After a 3-0 exhibition slate, the Cats are looking to start off the season quickly and pick up their first win of the year. More importantly, they need to gear up for tougher matchups with the James Madison Dukes and the Kansas Jayhawks sitting on deck.Kentucky currently sits inside the top 25, but has a ways to go to make it to Final Four contender status. Can their play in the non-conference schedule help change that outlook? If so, it starts tonight at Rupp Arena. On top of the basketball game, the Cats will hopefully get some good news on the gridiron as the first College Football Playoff poll is released tonight at 7 PM ET on ESPN. UK sits at No. 8 overall in the AP Top 25 Poll and will likely be sitting firmly inside the top 10 in tonight’s rankings. It’s gonna be fun watching this tonight with Kentucky likely being a big talking point.Tweet of the DaySEC teams campaign for the Playoffs.presented by: @renasantpic.twitter.com/JRSlZ5W16Q— SEC Shorts (@SECShorts) November 2, 2026It’s been great watchi...
